Attorney John A. Spellacy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida in 2012 before earning his Law Degree from the Florida A&M University College of Law in 2016. After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016, he was hired at the 10th Judicial Circuit’s Public Defender’s Office, where he served as an Assistant Public Defender in both the County and Circuit Court from 2016 to 2021. During that time, he handled cases ranging from misdemeanors and traffic crimes to felony and capital crimes. Since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016, he has tried over 45 jury trials.
